Our Board of Directors prayerfully considers financial needs of single moms, widows, and the needy. Pastor Chuck Weber leads our Benevolence. Under Chuck's direction, teams have worked together installing gutters, repairing leaks, and making repairs after storms, etc. The men grab hammers and the women often bring a meal for the team.
Just one of many stories-- Chuck was asked to help a man who was in violation with his HOA. The homeowner was disabled and the caretaker for his adult mentally disabled son. Overdue home maintenance had become overwhelming. This project required many man hours and a lot of supplies to bring the home into order. Our men brought their own tools and lawn maintenance equipment and went to work.
Sometimes we need a personal touch. We need "Jesus with skin on."
